Budweiser Shootout 2010

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

Well, congrats to Kevin Harvick, winner of the 2010 Budweiser Shootout. This brings him to a state of back-to-back wins for the Shootout! Way to go Happy! :)

Tony finished 9th, which isn’t too bad – still in the top 10. Ryan was involved in the last wreck along with Kenseth, Edwards, Martin, Labonte, and Biffle. Apparently Gordon turned Biffle which started the wreck off. EEP!

I’m sorry to say that between eating dinner & taking the dog for a walk, I managed to miss a good portion of the Shootout – but I did follow on Twitter and I do know that Michael Waltrip went spinning/sliding/hitting the wall a couple of times, Kurt Busch went spinning/sliding through the grass, and of course, the big wreck happened.

I did see, however, when they needed the shark fin for Tony’s car and the crew member who went to fetch it got locked out – awesome job climbing the fence while still hanging on to the shark fin – and man can that dude who caught the fin and ran it back to the pit RUN. :D That was awesome! I can’t wait to see more action like that. (Note to Team Tony: Keep shark fins in pit box from now on.)

Sorry it’s a bit short, but that’s my report on the Bud Shootout. I will be watching the Duels Thursday night, so expect a report on that Thursday! :)

I Missed It

I know Kyle Busch won the Watkins Glen race, so congrats to him. :) And woohoo for Tony grabbing 2nd place again (although I love Kyle, he could have moved his butt over for Tony ;) LOL). But my question is, I was reading in the comments on various things on the race and it was being said by people there that they “called the race.” My brain is not working, fogged with meds right now, so was that calling it as in checkered flag or calling it as in it’s pouring out it’s over? LOL Because the pics I saw of the race it looked sunny as all get out.

And I hope Bobby Labonte is all right. From what I understand, it was a nasty crash that pulled in several drivers.

Ok, I’m going to take my med-fogged brain off to do something else as NASCAR Blogging doesn’t work too well when you don’t know what you’re trying to say. ;)
