Tony Stewart is a racer’s racer. He is a man who ran both the Indy 500 and a NASCAR race in the same day, for the love of both the open wheel racing and stock car racing. He is a man who gives money away to many varied charities, including recently donating the money to buy police dogs kevlar vests to protect them, because he is an animal lover.

He owns Eldora Speedway in Ohio, and each year he organizes the Prelude to the Dream dirt race, a race for charities that change with each year. The 2009 Prelude, which was postponed due to rain, is to benefit our fallen heroes of the US Armed Forces.
